Seeing long time patients for their recall visit. Digital radiography (Dexis). Each adult patient is scheduled for an hour. The great majority of the patients have good to excellent home care.
In addition to reviewing the patients medical history, taking any routine radiographs or radiographs to deal with a patients individual concerns/complaints, you will be expected to help break down the operatory in which you were working. We have two chairs available for hygiene, so our assistant will (as a general rule) have the next patient seated and the necessary instruments and disposables set up for you.
If our assistant is occupied at the front and my operatory needs to be broken down (I always try to help) we will ask you to pitch in as well.
We use paper charts so there will be written notes.
On occasion I may ask for a bitewing check film for a prosthetic procedure that I am performing or I may ask for a film or two on a patient who presents specifically with a complaint (not scheduled for me or for hygiene) but only if you have finished (or not yet started) treating your patient (I will never interrupt you to perform another task when you are with your patient).
Would prefer at least three or four years of experience.
