Job Overview

Dental hygienist
Dental hygienists work under the supervision of a dentist to provide oral care to patients. Their duties include:
- Cleaning teeth: Removing plaque, tartar, and stains
- Educating patients: Teaching patients how to brush and floss properly, and the importance of oral health
- Taking X-rays: Taking and developing dental X-rays to assess oral health
- Documenting patient care: Maintaining patient charts and documentation, and updating medical history
- Sterilizing instruments: Sterilizing dental instruments and maintaining equipment
- Assisting dentists: Helping dentists select treatments for oral diseases, and calling in dentists for immediate consultation when needed
- Providing instructions: Giving patients instructions after dental procedures

Role Responsibilities

Registered hygienist, current CPR, prior experience preferred
