Responsibilities:
Review daily schedule and complete daily audit
Conduct a thorough review of patient’s health and dental history forms
Utilizing Dentrix, accurately chart each patient’s periodontal health and dental conditions for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist
Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist
Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis to patients
Perform scaling, root planing and polishing for patients
Administer local anesthetics using guidelines established by this practice
Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants
Take intraoral camera photos to aid in patient education
Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way
Counsel patients on oral health, including oral hygiene techniques and nutrition
Schedule recare appointments with efficiency
Qualifications:
Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
CPR certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality care
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
