Clinical Procedures:
Performing thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
Taking dental x-rays and developing them.
Assessing gum health and identifying signs of periodontal disease.
Applying fluoride treatments
Taking patient medical history and updating relevant information
Patient Education:
Demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques
Counseling patients on diet and lifestyle choices that impact oral health
Providing information about oral hygiene products and their use
Addressing patient concerns and questions related to oral health
Documentation and Communication:
Accurately charting patient findings and treatment provided
Communicating with the dentist regarding patient conditions and treatment plans
Maintaining patient records and scheduling follow-up appointments
