Responsibilities:
Evaluate the patient’s overall oral health by examining the oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers.
Documents dental history or chief complaint; records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate; documents lab procedures and ensures follow-up on results.
Follows through with oral hygiene procedures by treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist.
Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during the treatment of patients.
Associate degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited institution
Active dental hygiene license in the state of practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds
