A valid dental hygiene degree and license to practice in the state

Perform routine dental cleanings and preventative care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
Conduct patient assessments and screenings for oral health conditions
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and recommended treatments
