  • Perform preventive dental care

  • Check patients for gingivitis and other oral diseases

  • Clean teeth

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene


  • Take and develop dental x-rays

  • Document patient care and treatment plans

  • Removing plaque, tartar, and stains from a patients teeth

  • Cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing dental instruments

  • Reviewing and maintaining a patients medical history

  • Taking dental X-rays

  • Applying sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth

  • Assessing patients’ oral health and reporting findings to dentists

  • Documenting patient care and treatment plans

  • Conducting initial oral screenings

  • Educating patients of all ages on proper teeth care
