Oral health assessments: Review patients' dental and medical histories, and screen them for oral disease and tooth decay
Cleanings: Remove tartar, plaque, and stains from teeth, and polish them
X-rays: Take and develop dental x-rays
Preventive care: Apply sealants, fluorides, and other materials to help prevent tooth decay
Education: Teach patients about oral hygiene, nutrition, and how to brush and floss properly
Documentation: Record patient care and treatment plans, including the type of treatment, time needed, and instructions for patients
Communication: Work closely with dentists, and report their findings to them
