Our dental hygienists see the majority of our patients every day. They need to be relationship builders and offer great customer service beyond their dental hygiene skills. They should be self-motivated to set and achieve goals.
Position Requirements:
Valid Dental Hygienist license
Associates degree or higher in Dental Hygiene
Ability to prepare dental equipment & instruments
Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry
Dental software
Dental coding and scheduling
Hygiene recall systems
1 HOUR NEW PATIENT VISITS, 1 HOUR ADULT PROPHY VISITS AND 2 QUAD SRP VISITS. CHILD PROPHY UNDER 14 30MIN APTS.
The dentist and the dental hygienist work together to meet the oral health needs of patients to provide "Lifetime Care"
Provide a valuable health care service while establishing trusting relationships with patients
Assessment of oral health conditions, review of health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection
Clinical excellence in X-rays
Chart every aspect of a dental procedure properly
Perform a precise comprehensive periodontal assessment, including a 6 point probing, bleeding, furcation, mobility, recession and suppuration
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Counsel patients regarding good nutrition and its impact on oral health
Apply preventative materials to the teeth (sealants and fluoride)
Perform accurate documentation on treatment completed and needed
An advocate for the patient
Utilize provided information for self-evaluation to improve patient care
