Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
Manage patient records and document treatments accurately using Dentrix software.
Operate and maintain digital scanning equipment, including iTero and CEREC, for creating precise dental impressions.
Educate patients on post-procedure care and proper oral hygiene.
Handle inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
Assist with front-office tasks as needed, including patient hand-offs, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credentials are preferred.
X-ray certification in Pennsylvania is required.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Familiarity with iTero and CEREC scanning technologies.
Strong understanding of sterilization procedures and infection control protocols.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
